Accessing Qbo


You can access the Qbo application from a standard web browser. Before accessing Qbo, ensure that you have:

  • The web address (IP address or server name) for Qbo.

  • A network connection.

  • A web browser.

  • Username and password.

Supported web browsers

These browsers have been verified to work with Qbo on desktop machines:

  • Google Chrome: V60 and above

  • Mozilla Firefox: V60 and above

  • Safari - V10 and above

Sign in or sign out


Sign in

To sign in to Qbo from a browser:

  1. Connect to the VPN (if applicable).

  2. Open your Qbo application in the browser using the address provided. For example, https://<your_company>.qbo.ai/chai.

  3. Enter your username and password.

  4. Click Sign in.

Please contact your administrator if you do not have the URL, or your username or password.

Sign out

To sign out of Qbo from a browser:

  1. Click your user name under Profile in the side navigation pane.

  2. Click Sign out.

Home page


After you sign into Qbo, you’ll see the Qbo home page.

The home page gives an overview of:

  • Number of questions asked in the last 24 hours/30 days: Click Days or Hours to see organization-wide, day-wise

    or hour-wise count of the questions asked.

  • Top questions asked: Lists the top five questions asked in the channels in which you participate, including the

    Qbo channel. This metric is based on interaction data depending on the option chosen such as All time, This year, or Last month.

  • Champions: Lists the users who asked the most questions.

  • Total questions asked in last week: Shows the count of total questions asked in the last week.

  • You can ask me about: Lists the available entities. Click on the entity to create a thread in the Qbo channel.

Home page controls

1. Logo

Click the logo to refresh the home page.

2. Search

Search for a channel or threads. As you enter your search text, Qbo displays autocompletions.

3. Home

Click Home to return to the home page.

4. Starred

The threads that are starred by a user will appear here. See Star for more information.

5. CHANNELS

A channel is a place for a single or a group of users to share messages and interact with Qbo. By default, every user has a channel called Qbo, which is a private single-user channel where the user can interact with the bot. See Create for more information.

6. +

Click on + to create a new channel. See Create for more information.

7. Qbo

Qbo is the default channel created for every user.

8. PROFILE

Click your username located under PROFILE to update the profile, refer to a user guide, or sign out of Qbo.

Progressive web app


Qbo is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) that can be installed on:

iPhones and iPads


  1. Open the Qbo URL in the Safari web browser and tap the share icon located at the bottom.

  2. Tap Add to Home Screen.

    The Qbo app icon is added to your Home screen.

Android phones


  1. Open the Qbo URL in your mobile phone browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox).

  2. Tap Add Qbo to Home screen. If you can’t see this prompt, tap on the More menu.

  4. Open the Qbo app like any other mobile app.

Desktops


  1. Open the Qbo URL in Google Chrome.

  2. On the sign-in screen, click the + icon located at the right corner of the address bar.

  3. Click Install.

    A shortcut is created on your desktop.

  4. Double-click the shortcut to open the Qbo app on the desktop.
